Obituary

Marian Green, 79, of Sandusky, passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2021 at Parkvue Health Care Center, Sandusky, following a lengthy illness.

She was born on August 31, 1941 in Chicago, IL. Marian was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and loving friend to the many lives she touched with her beautiful spirit. She accepted Christ into her life as her Lord and Savior, and she was a devoted Christian. She loved to decorate, cook, and spend time with her beloved family.

Marian is survived by her daughters, Carole A. Bell, of Chicago, and Anita L. Baker, of Sandusky; sons, Richard Bell-Whatley, of Pensacola, FL, and Matthew S. Green and Arther R. Green, both of Sandusky; brother, Andrew (Emma) Bell, of Summerfield, FL; 14 grandchildren, Michelle, Latoya, Terrance, Janique, Avery, Azarian, Adrian, Dayton, Stacey, Candace, Courtney, Janae, Lauren, and Richard; 16 great-grandchildren; niece, Sheila (Darrell) Ashley, of Chicago; nephews, Kelly Whigham, of Miss., and Robert Smith, of California; cousins, Andrea Horton and Darrell and Bryant Jones, all of Baltimore, MD; cousins, Doris Howard, of Gary, IN, Edward “Bee” Bryant, of TX, and Rodney, Paula, and Richard Koonce, all of Sandusky; and special friends, Michael Cubertson, Dondi Alexander, Dextanie Jones, Monica Miller, Jeff Hardin, Ron Kaman, Megal Ervin, Joan Pettis, and Mark DeHann.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur R. Green, Sr.; parents, Andrew O. Bell, Sr. and Flo Edna (nee Hoy) (Robert) Hicks; daughter, Roberta Baker; and grandson, Christopher.

The family would like to thank Cindy Chapman and the staff at Parkvue for all the love and care they showed to our mother during her illness. And to all the people, too many to mention, that took care of our mother, we are greatly appreciative for all that you have done.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, February 6 from 3-5 p.m. at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Condolences may be shared online by visiting toftfuneralhome.com.
