Janet Ostheimer, 83, Sandusky, died Thursday, July 7, 2022, in Advanced Specialty Hospital, Toledo.
She was born on North Bass Island, OH, on July 6, 1939, to the late Cooley Burr and Hilda (Dircks) Ingles.
Janet worked for the City of Sandusky in the accounting office, and was a homemaker.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Sandusky, where she played trumpet in the church, and the local community band.
Janet always had a heart of compassion for others. She volunteered at the local hospital in material management, placing hospital information in patient files and visiting patients with her dog Sabrina.
She is survived by her daughter and caregiver, Joelean Ostheimer; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter R. Ostheimer on April 7, 1979; parents, and siblings, Everett Ingles, Constance Stonerook, Chester Ingles, Henrietta Seville, Alice LeBeau, Fred C. Ingles, George Ingles, Arminta Goldt, and one in infancy.
Friends may call on Friday, July 15, 2022, from 12 P.M. Noon until time of funeral services at 1 P.M. in Zion Lutheran Church, 503 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
