Obituary

Beverly Ann (Dewitt) “Bev” Jaycox, 55, of Sandusky, passed away Sunday evening, January 3, 2021 at Stein Hospice Care Center after a battle with cancer.

She was born in Amherst on September 12, 1965 and graduated from Amherst High School

Bev was the co-owner of Sandusky Speedway. She loved racing, especially watching her son, Kevin, and grandson, Ethan, and granddaughter, Nevaeh, race . She also loved Horses. Most of all, Bev loved spending anytime with her family.

Bev is survived by her husband of 26 years, Kevin Jaycox; daughter, Pamela Clark, of Florida; son, Kevin (Ashley) Jaycox, Jr., of Vermillion; parents, Richard and Susan Dewitt, of Amherst, brother, Richard Dewitt, of Elyria; grandchildren, Makala (Engle) Zadravec, Hailey Engle, Neveah Rusiska, Ethan Rusiska, Lilly Rhodes, Skyler Rhodes, Maddie Jaycox, and Kyler Rhodes; and mother-in-law, Sharon Jaycox .

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Wesley and Myrtle Dewitt; aunt, Mary Lou Hunter; grandfather, James Neuman; aunt, Barb Dewitt; and father-in-law, Ralph Jaycox

Visitation will take place from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 12 at Faith Church, 1320 E. Strub Rd., Sandusky. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the church with Pastor Ken Hiser officiating. After services, a “final lap” will be observed at the Sandusky Speedway. The hearse will lead a lap, and a brief service will take place at the finish line, led by Bev’s husband, Kevin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bev’s name to Stein Hospice. Condolences may be shared online by visiting toftfuneralhome.com.
