Obituary

Anthony F. Whitmore, 88, of Sandusky, passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2021 in Sebastian River Medical Center, FL.

He was born on October 18, 1932 in Santa Monica, CA to the late Theodore and Lois (Bickel) Whitmore. He was a 1953 graduate of Lorain High School and was a tool maker for Ford Motor Co. in Lorain for 32 years, retiring in 1990.

Anthony was a snowbird for many years to Barefoot Bay, FL. He loved roller coasters and boating, swimming, and biking in Florida. He was a member of the Blue Gavel, Commodore of the Beaver Park Yacht Club, and a member of the Florida Moose for over 15 years.

Anthony is survived by his daughter, Connie (Paul) Davis, of Sandusky, OH; son, Kurt Whitmore, of New Britain, CT; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Twila (Hafely) Whitmore, in 2019; and son, Keith Whitmore, in 2016.

Per his wishes, there will be no visitation. Burial will take place at a later date in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Back to the Wild, PO Box 423, Castalia, OH 44824 or to the Humane Society of Erie County, 1911 Superior St., Sandusky, OH 44870.
