Anne (Davis) Diehl, 93, of Huron, passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2021 in Stein Hospice Care Center.

She was born February 4, 1928 in Sligo, PA to the late John and Bertha Davis. A 1945 graduate of Sligo High School, she then worked for Pennsylvania Bell for many years, and for 25 years was the owner and operator, along with her husband, Bob, of Coffman Optical. Following this, she spent many years at Macy’s.

Anne was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She loved spending time with her family the most, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Anne is survived by her daughter, Lesley (Richard) Sinwald, of Sandusky; grandchildren, R.J. (Amy) Sinwald and Shawna Sinwald; and great-grandchildren, Chase, Jacob, Kayla, Calob, and Cayden.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Diehl, in 2017; and brother, Chester Davis.

It was Anne’s wish to be cremated. No services will be held.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Anne’s name to Riley’s Angels, a nonprofit that trains therapy dog teams to work in local schools, a cause very dear to Anne’s heart. Donations can be sent to 3817 Matthes Ave., Sandusky, OH 44870. Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., is handling arrangements. What a lovely lady, she brought such joy to us. Mr. Diehl was great to work with and such a great couple. She sure missed him, but she always carried herself with a smile. Sincerely, Gale, Jennifer, Sandy and Walmart staff.

I will always remember her smile and laughter at family gatherings. She was a good friend to my mother. I am grateful my mom had such a wonderful person as her friend. Her life left a positive lasting footprint on our hearts.

My condolences to Lesley, Richard, RJ, Amy and Shawn and of course the grand’s. I will always also remember how her eyes would light up and a smile would appear on her face when you’d walk into the room. PURE joy. May you find peace during this time of transition. Much love

Lesley and Family, My deepest condolences on the passing of your mother. Such a loving person. Your Mom and Dad gave me an opportunity to work in the optical field that I would never would have imagine spanning 25 years. I can imagine the reunion with your Dad! What a wonderful celebration. I'm sorry for your loss. I have lots of wonderful memories! Vickie Bluhm
